United States Guides Property Data for Developers & Apps

Property Data for Developers & Apps

Building a real-estate app or internal tool? Seed with the bulk file, then keep it fresh with the API.

What developers need

Developers usually want both: a one-time bulk load to populate a database, and a live lookup for current data. The dataset covers the bulk side (Parquet/CSV); every record's id is a live API call for the fresh side.

Get it in two ways

Bulk download — grab the whole United States or a single state, county, or ZIP as Parquet or CSV, free and CC0. Best for analysis over many properties at once.

Live API — every row carries an id that's a live endpoint on Straply, for one-property lookups and always-current data.

A practical tip

Seed your DB from the national or state Parquet, then wire the id column to the API for on-demand refresh — same schema, no remapping.

See the data dictionary for every field, or start with how to download.

Frequently asked

Is there free property data for developers?

Yes — the full U.S. property dataset is free to download under CC0 (public domain), for any use including commercial, with no sign-up.

What's included per property?

Address, location (lat/lng), beds, baths, square footage, lot size, year built, property type, listing status, last sold price and date, plus heating, HOA, and amenity flags. Parquet adds nested price and tax history.

Can I use it commercially?

Yes. It's released under CC0 1.0 — no attribution required, no usage limits.
